Neighborhood House Announces 2025 Holiday Giving Tree Program to Support Local Families
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – Neighborhood House is pleased to announce the return of its annual Holiday Giving Tree Program, a long-standing tradition that helps parents facing financial hardship provide gifts for their children during the holiday season. This year’s program will take place at the Neighborhood House main office from December 9 through December 11, offering local client families an opportunity to shop for their children in a welcoming and supportive setting.
Each year, the Giving Tree Program brings holiday joy to more than 400 children living in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township, and Addison Township. With ongoing economic pressures affecting families throughout the region, Neighborhood House anticipates a continued strong need for support this season.
“The holidays can be a difficult time for families already balancing tight budgets,” said Michael Dreon, executive director. “Our community plays an essential role in making sure every child feels remembered and valued. We are grateful for the generosity that makes this program possible.”
Through the Giving Tree Program, children receive new gifts selected specifically for their age group. Donors can contribute in several ways, following the guidelines provided on this year’s donor flyer
Gift requests include items such as:
• A thirty to thirty-five dollar gift for children ages zero to eleven
• A twenty-five dollar gift card for teens
• Hoodies or sweatshirts for ages two to eighteen
• Pajamas for all ages
• A family board game
• Winter hats
• Waterproof gloves or mittens for ages two to eighteen
• Books for all ages
Community members can support the program by donating new, unwrapped items and delivering them by December 2 to any of the designated drop-off locations, including the Neighborhood House main office, Retro Fitness, Rochester Hills Public Library, Auburn Hills City Manager’s Office, First State Bank, and Century 21 Professionals in downtown Rochester. Donors who prefer to shop online may use the Holiday Wish List at go.ranh.org/Holidaywishlist, with direct shipping available to Neighborhood House’s main office.
Neighborhood House also offers several participation options for organizations, including hosting a physical giving tree, sharing an online gift list, collecting specific items, or using the online registry for convenient shopping.
