Youth Ambassadors

The Youth Ambassador Program consists of leaders from six local high schools. In an effort to help prepare local youth to become future leaders and responsible and caring citizens, Neighborhood House offers high school students in the greater Rochester community an opportunity to get involved in serving their community as a member of the youth committee. This group collaborates with the Neighborhood House Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other staff in an effort to gain experience in areas of civic responsibility, community service, public speaking, fundraising, marketing, and fund development. All students within the greater Rochester area are eligible to apply for these positions annually.

The Youth Ambassador Program seeks volunteers throughout the year to help with Neighborhood house events and daily functions. High school students can receive service hours for their time. Many students are able to fulfill NHS, Key Club and other club service hour obligations by participating in our events.
