Neighborhood House Stands Ready to Support Local Families During Uncertain Times

Rochester Hills, MI – October 29, 2025 – As our community faces increasing uncertainty, Neighborhood House wants local families to know: we’re here to help. Serving residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township and Addison Township, Neighborhood House has been a trusted partner for neighbors navigating challenging times for more than 50 years. The organization offers critical support with food, clothing, and essential resources to help families regain stability. 

“Our mission has always been to help neighbors move from crisis to self-sustainability,” said Michael Dreon, Executive Director of Neighborhood House. “Whether you’re experiencing a temporary setback or a longer-term hardship, we want our community to know that help is available, and it starts with a simple conversation.” 

How We Can Help 

Neighborhood House operates a Food Pantry stocked with nutritious shelf-stable items, dairy, and frozen foods to ensure local families have what they need to prepare balanced meals. The Clothes Closet offers free clothing for adults and children, as well as household items such as bedding, coats, and shoes. 

Permanent residents seeking assistance can begin by completing an enrollment form at www.ranh.org/potential-clients. Eligibility includes, verification of identification, residency and income. The form includes a list of the basic documents needed to verify eligibility. Walk-ins are welcome at the Neighborhood House main office, 1720 S. Livernois Rd., Rochester Hills, Monday through Thursday, 10 am–2 pm. Our team is here to make the process simple and supportive for every individual and family. No appointment is required. 

How the Community Can Help 

Community support makes this work possible. Donations of nonperishable food, clothing and household goods are always welcome. Monetary donations provide the flexibility to meet the most pressing needs, helping Neighborhood House purchase food, maintain critical programs, and offer short-term assistance to neighbors experiencing unexpected hardships.
