As we enter the hottest period of the year, cooling centers are opening across Metro Detroit to help vulnerable populations find refuge from the soaring temperatures, humidity and intense sun rays.
These area cooling centers provided for our neighbors are air-conditioned public facilities where people may go for relief during temporary periods of extreme heat; these centers offer shade, water, and restrooms.
Please call directly for hours of operation.
