Neighborhood House provides financial assistance to low-to-moderate-income families and individuals to prevent evictions, keep utilities operational, and assist with car repairs for working clients. We strive to help families and individuals handle a financial crisis and find the resources they need to address their situation. We work with families to help them learn how to manage their finances more effectively and become self sustaining. We function as a THAW screening site for The Heat and Warmth Fund.
Clients needing financial assistance must make an appointment to see a caseworker at our main Neighborhood House offices at 1234 Inglewood. Our financial appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Make sure you bring the required documentation, listed in this help link, with you to your appointment. In addition all required forms can be printed and filled out prior to coming to your appointment.
Call 248 651-5836 to schedule an appointment. Families and individuals with a shut off notice or eviction must have a decision notice from the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS) before an appointment is scheduled.
